This is not about individual, but about identity – survey in US

Armenians living in the United States have expressed concern over the domestic political tensions in Armenia and the attacks against the Armenian Apostolic Church. Respondents emphasized that this is not about the Catholicos as an individual, but rather about the struggle to preserve the Armenian identity.

“Although everyone prays in their own home, now is the time to unite. If anyone thinks this is about the Catholicos, they are mistaken. The issue of the Catholicos will be resolved, and then they will move on to Catholicos Aram,” said one respondent.

Many noted with sorrow that people’s indifference is erasing Armenian identity. “We must not be blind in spirit. If we do not awaken now, it will be too late,” respondents said.

A large number voiced the conviction that the actions directed against the Catholicos are part of an organized plan.

Believers also called for vigilance, for the sake of saving Armenia’s spiritual stronghold.
