During a survey conducted in Tavush, residents expressed dissatisfaction with their social conditions. Many have not yet begun their New Year shopping, and for most, the abundance of the holiday table is directly tied to the size of their pension or salary.

“We will do what we can within our means,” said one of the survey participants.

“How should we prepare if there is no money?” said another respondent.

Residents of Tavush also complained about difficulties with card payments, as many shops refuse to accept cashless transactions, explaining that it is not profitable for them. This creates additional problems, especially for those whose income is received exclusively through cards.

Pensioners noted that they are forced to save. “I’m waiting for my pension so that on the 3rd of the month I can finally buy something,” said one resident, emphasizing that due to social problems, holiday shopping is postponed until the last moment.

The survey shows that most Tavush residents have adopted the principle of not taking on debt, celebrating the New Year within their means. People prefer a modest table, but without debts.
