The Jerusalem District Court has rejected a motion by Xana Gardens Ltd. to merge the lawsuit filed by the Armenian community regarding ownership of the “Cows’ Garden” with a separate case submitted by the Armenian Patriarchate, Horizon Weekly reports.

Attorneys representing the Armenian community opposed this motion, emphasizing that the legal proceedings are based on different factual and legal grounds.

At the heart of the dispute is the “Cows’ Garden”, a plot of land on Mount Zion. A proposal for its long-term lease sparked widespread protests among the Armenian community. It is one of the four historic quarters of the Old City, where Armenian Christians have lived continuously for more than 1,600 years.
