‘I do not agree with the point on 0% taxation of small businesses’ – Hrant Bagratyan

Narek Karapetyan, coordinator of the “Our Way” movement, presenting the main points of the economic program of philanthropist and businessman Samvel Karapetyan, said that small businesses in Armenia would be exempt from taxes to give them the opportunity to develop.

Former Prime Minister of Armenia Hrant Bagratyan objected to Karapetyan, noting:
“I approach tax benefits with caution. Frankly speaking, I do not agree with the point on a zero tax rate for small businesses. Moreover, I believe that the turnover tax should be expanded. What prevents people from paying taxes? I fear that, judging by your words, everything that happened in the United States in the last century will happen in Armenia. They could not recover for 30 years, and all large businesses began to shut down.”
