Trump’s tough statements remained just words – Aram Shahnazaryan
Trump’s rhetoric has long become a political “brand”—maximalist, self-confident, and often filled with threats, Aram Shahnazaryan, editor-in-chief of the “Alik” daily newspaper, said in an interview with Alpha News.
“The fact showed that Trump was unable to move from words to actions,” Shahnazaryan said.
According to him, attempts are often made to see the reason only in the contacts between Iran and the United States, but it is important to emphasize that this is not about negotiations.
“We confuse contacts with negotiations. Iran and the United States are not negotiating. There are contacts between Iran’s foreign minister and the US special envoy on Iran, but that is not negotiation,” he stressed.
Shahnazaryan added that if there had been a real opportunity, Trump would not have missed it, but a number of serious circumstances prevented him from taking military steps.
