Armenian Army is one of pillars of statehood, called to ensure peace in our country – Karekin II

Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II issued a message on the occasion of Armenian Army Day.

“From the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin we extend Our Fatherly Love and Patriarchal Blessing to the officers and soldiers of the Armenian Army, and to our entire people, on the occasion of Army Day.

Born during the formative years of newly established independence, our army has distinguished itself in its mission through a valiant struggle for justice and freedom. The Armenian Army is one of the pillars of our statehood, called to ensure peace in our country and the security of our people. During the occupation war unleashed by Azerbaijan in Artsakh, our soldiers fought bravely, and many Armenians gave their lives. Their heroic deeds will always inspire our soldiers to selfless service,” the message reads.
