During a survey conducted in Tavush, residents spoke about Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s policies. Some respondents noted that problems are evident in the army, which they described as a process of disintegration.
One resident stated that the Armenian army has lost its former character and discipline.
“Our army needs to be completely rebuilt. Before, a soldier was a soldier, and an officer was an officer. Now they act like ‘buddies.’ A soldier tells his commander, ‘Who are you?’ Has anyone ever seen officers and soldiers disregarding subordination? That’s not an army,” the resident said.
Another respondent accused the country’s leadership, calling the loss of Artsakh an act of betrayal and incompetent governance.
“The only ones responsible for losing Karabakh are our leaders. It was betrayal,” he said.
When asked what they would say to Pashinyan if they met him, one resident replied that he had no desire to meet him at all: “I have no reason to respect Pashinyan.”
