Charles Aznavour’s ‘Hier Encore’ echoes at Super Bowl Halftime Show

Charles Aznavour’s “Hier encore” echoed on the world’s biggest stage as a sample in Bad Bunny’s “Mónaco” during the Super Bowl LX halftime show at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, the Armenian Film Society reports.

“Hier Encore” is one of the signature works of the French-Armenian singer-songwriter, written in 1964 in collaboration with Georges Garvarentz. This melancholic reflection on the fleeting nature of time has repeatedly inspired modern artists: most recently, it appeared in the finale of the third season of the popular Netflix series Lupin.
