Adeliia Petrosian reaches final after Women’s Short Program at 2026 Olympics

On February 17, the women’s singles short program took place at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.

Adeliia Petrosian delivered a strong performance, earning 72.89 points to place fifth. The Russian skater finished behind three Japanese competitors and one American, but confidently secured her spot in the final segment of the competition.

The standout of the short program was 17-year-old Japanese skater Ami Nakai. With a score of 78.71 points, she claimed first place, surpassing her compatriot and tournament favorite Kaori Sakamoto, who scored 77.23. American skater Alysa Liu currently holds third place with 76.59 points.

A total of 29 skaters competed, with 24 advancing to the free skate.
