Episcopal Assembly has commenced in St. Pölten

The Episcopal Assembly has commenced today in St. Pölten, Austria. The gathering opened with the Lord’s Prayer, followed by a reading from the Apostle Paul’s Epistle to the Ephesians on unity. Then, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, addressed the assembly with a paternal message delivered online.

Messages were also shared with the participants by Catholicos Aram I of the Great House of Cilicia, Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem Archbishop Nourhan Manougian, and Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople Archbishop Sahak Mashalian.

Following the discussion and approval of the agenda, a leader was elected to organize the further work of the Episcopal Assembly.

On the same day, a service was held in the Cathedral of St. Pölten with the participation of bishops. On this occasion, Bishop Alois Schwarz, head of the Catholic Diocese of St. Pölten, addressed them with a welcoming speech.
