‘If they are purchasing so many weapons, where are these bonuses coming from?’ – survey in Syunik

During a survey conducted in Syunik, residents of the region criticized the policies of the Armenian authorities.

“If they are purchasing so many weapons, where are these bonuses coming from?” one respondent wondered, noting that he does not believe the official data on arms acquisitions.

“We only see the doubling of bonuses,” another respondent said.

According to the respondents, corruption remains a pressing issue in the country as well. As Syunik residents pointed out, despite numerous promises from the authorities, they do not see real changes in the fight against corruption.

“Corruption in the global sense has been preserved by 90%. Perhaps in some places it is disguised, but no systemic changes have taken place,” said one of the survey participants.
