Events in Iran have demonstrated that temporary peace agreements are not enough; strong guarantees are needed, Narek Karapetyan, a member of the council of the “Strong Armenia” party, said in an interview with the “Jam” agency.

“For achieving peace, we need guarantors. Iran had many agreements with the West, but today, without guarantors, it faces processes initiated by other countries in the region and world powers. We must learn this lesson for our own country—peace can be achieved not only through agreements. A guarantor is necessary. Moreover, there should be more than one guarantor,” he noted, adding that a war against Iran would undoubtedly have economic consequences for Armenia
