Parents of conscript soldiers hold protest outside Armenia’s Ministry of Defense

Parents of soldiers currently serving their compulsory military service are holding a protest outside the Armenian Ministry of Defense. They are demanding that their children, who were drafted under the previous rules, also serve for one and a half years.

“This is unfair. Why should my child serve for two year, let him serve a year and a half as well. If a law has been passed, it should apply to everyone,” said one of the demonstrators.
