Authorities are attempting to restrict the use of personal names in alliance titles: Marianna Kagramanyan

Armenian authorities have hastily initiated amendments to the Electoral Code that seek to restrict the names of electoral blocs, in particular, the use of personal names in them. This was reported to journalists by Strong Armenia party spokesperson Marianna Kagramanyan.

“This happened after we announced the formation of the alliance ‘Strong Armenia with Samvel Karapetyan.’ Yesterday I had occasion to note that fear has become the driving force behind decision-making in the Civil Contract party. This rushed initiative is proof of that… The legal details will be presented by our colleagues,” she said.
