Simferopol honors the memory of the victims of the 1915 Armenian Genocide

A prayer service dedicated to the victims of the tragedy in the Ottoman Empire was held at the Armenian cemetery. After the service, participants laid flowers at memorial sites.

Sergey Aksyonov, Head of the Republic of Crimea, noted that such crimes against humanity are unacceptable and cannot be justified, emphasizing the need for respectful treatment of all peoples and nationalities.

First Deputy Chairman of the State Council of Crimea Sergey Tsekov was also present at the event, highlighting the importance of the occasion for preserving historical memory.
