Artur Avanesyan, Head of the Security Affairs direction of the Strong Armenia Party and known by the call sign “Kandaz,” does not admit the vote-bribing charges. This was stated by party member Arega Hovsepyan.

According to her, Avanesyan denies involvement in the alleged acts and does not agree with the charges brought against him.

Hovsepyan also noted that a search was conducted at Avanesyan’s home; however, according to the defense, no prohibited items or evidence related to the case were found. Avanesyan currently is formally charged and remains in custody. Information about the upcoming court hearing is expected soon.

“I am sure, Kandaz is now giving lessons in patriotism and, as he himself says, is in a fighting spirit,” Hovsepyan concluded.
