Inter have been crowned Coppa Italia winners for the 2025/26 season. In the final at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico, the side managed by Cristian Chivu comfortably defeated Lazio 2–0, claiming their second trophy in the space of just a few days following their Serie A title win, according to sportaran. com.
For Armenian fans, the final carried special significance due to the presence of former national team captain and midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan. He came on in the 67th minute and helped Inter see out the victory. According to SofaScore, Mkhitaryan received a rating of 6.8.
For the 37-year-old, this is already his sixth trophy with Inter. This season, Mkhitaryan has completed a domestic double with the Milan club first winning Serie A, and now the Coppa Italia.
This season may prove to be the final one of Mkhitaryan’s career, and if the Armenian midfielder does decide to retire, he will be doing so at the highest level with two titles in Italy and a meaningful role at one of the country’s strongest clubs.
