Armenia should have normal relations with Russia: a poll in Yerevan
“Despite being a Ukrainian citizen, I want to emphasize that in my view, Armenia and Russia’s relations should be normal.” This was said by one of the respondents in a street poll conducted by Alpha News in Yerevan, commenting on the current state of Armenian-Russian ties.
Another resident stressed that even if France and all of Europe were to stand by Armenia’s side, “the only salvation for Armenians is Russia.”
“France will not give us soldiers, will not give us bread, will not give us gas. All this time we have been receiving grain only from Russia. On top of that, it was Russia that ensured border security and kept the country’s energy system running. Without its involvement, Armenia risks being left to face external threats alone,” he added.
