Direct imports of goods from Turkey to Armenia will lower prices: Mirzoyan

Direct imports of goods from Turkey to Armenia will lower prices, stated the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, who is on vacation.

During the election campaign, he explained that in the past, it was not possible to directly export goods from Turkey to Armenia. According to Mirzoyan, goods imported from Turkey to Armenia first cleared customs in Georgia and were then documented as exports to Armenia, which incurred additional financial costs that were reflected in the cost of goods in Armenia.

“From now on, anyone who previously imported goods from Turkey can import them directly to Armenia from a customs perspective, as the border is currently closed. However, I am confident that this border will also open in the near future, and the goods will be imported directly to Armenia” he added.
