Artsakh Should Be Free and Independent: Pan-European Rally to Be Held in Brussels on October 1

“The pain of the Armenians of Artsakh is our pain, and there is no future for Armenia without Artsakh”, Nelly Serkisyan, a member of the Union for the Support of Artsakh of the Paris City Council, told in a live broadcast of Alpha News.

“Two months ago, we read letters from Artsakh in front of thousands of people and told about the conditions in which they live today and what they dream about these days.

I would like to note that our French journalists published an article in the newspaper Figaro about the opening of the road to Artsakh, which was signed by 70 senators. We also sent a letter to the European Council addressed to Charles Michel, and we were able to collect 500 signatures from Armenian and non-Armenian unions in a month”, Serkisyan said.

She assured that they would not stop fighting, until they reached the goal. “It also gives us hope that all unions in France are working together. We were able to ensure that our strength in France spread to Europe. And we succeeded.

On October 1, Armenians from different European countries will go to a rally in Brussels and in September we will also hold a rally in France so that many people will join us. However, many young as well as elderly people are still protesting in Brussels in front of Charles Michel’s office. They demand that Artsakh be free and independent, because Artsakh has a future,” Serkisyan concluded.
