Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko briefly exchanged views on the situation with Armenia on the sidelines of the EAEU leaders’ summit in Astana, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

“They spoke several times yesterday specifically on the sidelines. There was a brief exchange of views on Armenia, but there was no substantive conversation, there simply was no time,” Peskov told journalists in response to a question about whether the topic of Armenia had come up in Putin and Lukashenko’s conversations.

“At the same time, during an informal lunch they had the opportunity to have a very good conversation all together, quite a lengthy exchange,” he added.
