“What was hindering before?”: Zakharova on Yerevan’s promise to improve relations with the RF after the elections

Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a briefing at the SPIEF, recalled Yerevan’s promise to improve relations with the RF after the elections.

“What was the obstacle before?”, – the diplomat expressed bewilderment.
According to Zakharova, Russian-Armenian relations are not subject to conjuncture and are not linked by Moscow with electoral processes in Armenia.

“As they say: ‘I was evil because I didn’t have a bicycle, but as soon as I got one, I became kind.’ It’s funny”, – she said.
