Armenia’s joining the Turkish-Azerbaijani energy system would lead the country to catastrophe: Grigor Balasanyan
Tensions are growing with each passing day as the elections approach. This was stated live on Alpha News by Grigor Balasanyan, an international affairs expert, who added that in the final days attempts will be made to show the public what could not be achieved during the election campaign.
“The development of relations between Armenia and the Turkish world is a constant topic of discussion. It is even claimed that Armenia should join the Turkish-Azerbaijani energy system. This will lead to nothing good, as in economic terms the Armenian economy would face catastrophe,” the international affairs expert noted.
According to the expert, if Armenia transfers control over its own energy system to Azerbaijan or Turkey, those countries would be able at any moment to decide to cut off the electricity supply, placing the country in an extremely vulnerable position.
