Public criminal prosecution initiated against Gagik Tsarukyan

A prosecutor has initiated criminal proceedings against Gagik Tsarukyan under Part 3, Point 2 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code (tax evasion on an especially large scale). A travel ban has been imposed as a preventive measure.

Earlier, reports circulated that Gagik Tsarukyan, leader of the Prosperous Armenia party, attempted to leave the territory of the Republic of Armenia through Zvartnots Airport on June 9, but law enforcement prevented him from doing so.
