Expanding its presence on international media platforms, Alpha News presents the latest episode of its Persian-language newscast, Alpha News Persian.
One of the central topics of the program was the visit of Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister, to Tehran and his meeting with Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran. The program provided a detailed analysis of the prospects for bilateral relations.
Security guarantees. Emphasis was placed on Pashinyan’s statement that Iran’s security is a “red line” for Yerevan, and that Armenia will never act against Tehran’s interests.
New legal framework. According to Khalil Shirgholami, Iranian Ambassador, the two sides are currently working on a comprehensive strategic partnership document that will allow communications to develop without disrupting the regional balance.
The next major block of the episode is devoted to the high-level meeting between Pashinyan and von der Leyen in Yerevan and the resulting economic prospects.
Expansion of EU support. The head of the European Commission expressed readiness to open the EU’s 450-million market to Armenian products and to allocate up to 2 billion euros for infrastructure investment.
Trade regimes. Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that a possible duty-free trade format with the EU does not contradict Armenia’s membership in the EAEU.
TRIPP project. As it turned out, Yerevan is developing this regional transport program exclusively with the US, with Brussels playing no role in it.
