“Europe should accept us together with our values”: poll in Abovyan

Residents of the city of Abovyan answered questions during a poll concerning the crisis in Armenian-Russian relations. According to most respondents, the RA authorities are “damaging relations with Russia, forgetting that around 2 million Armenians live there.”

“You can’t think only of yourself. Things need to be arranged so that everyone is well off,” he noted.

Regarding the pro-Western orientation and the process of European integration, one poll participant noted that Armenia should not blindly follow the demands imposed by external forces.

“We should strive for Europe to accept us together with our values, our past, and our culture. If we are not accepted as we are, then we have no business being in Europe,” the Alpha News interlocutor stressed.
