Pyotr Kolchin, political scientist and military expert, commented to Alpha News on the statement made by Feridun Sinirlioglu, OSCE Secretary General, who, in a conversation with pranksters Vovan and Lexus, believing he was speaking with Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of Armenia, expressed his willingness to help remove the Catholicos of All Armenians.

“This situation has shown what statements by European structures about freedom of religion and their non-involvement in the internal affairs of other states are really worth. In effect, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe is ready to wage war against the Armenian Apostolic Church on the orders of Pashinyan and his handlers. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ankara and Baku, which actively cooperate with the OSCE, are involved in this as well. Of course, the degradation of once-integrative organizations is plain to see,” the expert noted.

According to the political scientist, European structures have nothing to do with either security or freedom, and instead act exclusively in the interests of certain individuals, carrying out their orders.

“Today these are openly hostile structures carrying out very specific tasks. They have nothing to do with either security or freedom, and are engaged exclusively in fulfilling orders in the interests of certain individuals. The ease and nonchalance with which the OSCE Secretary General declared his readiness to fight against the head of the Armenian Church largely demonstrates Europe’s dismissive attitude toward Armenians, their history, and their culture,” Kolchin said.
