Court transfers Gyumri mayor Vardan Ghukasyan to house arrest

The court has changed the pretrial detention measure against Vardan Ghukasyan, Mayor of Gyumri: instead of being held in custody, he has been transferred to house arrest with bail set at 15 million drams.

The court’s decision also prohibits Ghukasyan from communicating with media representatives or giving comments.

As a reminder, the state prosecutor had earlier petitioned to extend the arrest by another three months.
