If exports pick up, trade will pick up too: produce seller

Compared with last year, weather conditions this year have significantly affected the quality of fruit. This is what one vendor at the fruit and vegetable market told Alpha News.

“There was a lot of rain this year, so the quality of the fruit suffered a bit,” he noted.

According to the vendor, apart from weather factors, traders are also facing problems selling their goods. He said that trading activity in the domestic market also depends on the volume of fruit exports from Armenia.

“In terms of prices, the situation is different this year. It’s a bit harder to sell the produce because less of it is being exported. If exports pick up, trade will flourish here too,” he stressed.
