Israel Hakobkokhyan: 99.9% of Armenian athletes have won their medals thanks to Tsarukyan’s support

Unfair decisions are being made today against Gagik Tsarukyan, leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, and against this backdrop, the silence of talented Armenian athletes is surprising. This was stated by Israel Hakobkokhyan, world and European boxing champion, speaking with journalists outside the Investigative Committee building.

“I’m surprised that our guys, world champions and Olympic champions, are staying silent today and aren’t even trying to fight this injustice. An athlete, when entering competition, always demands fairness toward himself. Today, unfair decisions are being made against the president of the NOC of Armenia, and I’m amazed that our brilliant athletes, who have the opportunity to meet with government representatives, don’t approach them and tell them that this man did all of this not just for them, but for the entire Armenian people,” he noted.

Hakobkokhyan noted that 99.9% of Armenia’s sports representatives won their medals thanks to Gagik Tsarukyan’s support. “Ingratitude is the worst thing,” he stressed.
