A case has been opened in Armenia against Russian national Nadezhda Pirozhkova over a video containing offensive remarks about Armenians.
During the Vardavar celebrations, the blogger was doused with water, after which she posted an angry video on social media. She called the dousing of people not participating in the holiday an act of aggression and tactlessness, posting a clip in her “stories” section showing her being doused with water. Pirozhkova referred to the Armenian people as “rat-like,” adding that her clothes had been ruined by the dousing.
The Investigative Committee clarified that the case was opened under the article on public statements aimed at inciting hatred and discrimination. A travel restriction was chosen as the preventive measure.
