Gagik Tsarukyan vs. Yerevan City Hall

The Multi Wellness Center has challenged in court a decision by Yerevan City Hall, under which the company was stripped of its development rights several days ago and the land was transferred to the municipality.

According to the Datalex information system, Multi Wellness Center’s representative has asked the court to invalidate a transaction carried out by the mayor of Yerevan on June 8, under which the municipality unilaterally terminated a contract concluded with the detained businessman Gagik Tsarukyan, leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP).

Tsarukyan’s lawyer has also asked the court to invalidate the Cadastre’s decision under which, on July 14 this year, Multi Wellness Center’s development rights were terminated and the property was fully registered as the ownership of the Yerevan municipality.

It should be recalled that, as part of illegal asset confiscation proceedings, the Yerevan Ararat Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory and the Ararat Cement Factory, both owned by the Tsarukyan family, were transferred to state administration.
