Armen Ghazaryan, Acting Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, stated that more positive results on visa liberalization with the European Union are expected by the end of the year, and presented a report on the fulfillment of assigned tasks.

According to him, Armenia is in an active phase of dialogue on visa liberalization. In May, the first report on the implementation of the action plan was received, in which the country’s steps were positively assessed. 53 recommendations were presented, within the framework of which 113 measures were developed, more than half of which have already been fulfilled.

Ghazaryan clarified that the assessments and recommendations concern the first stage of the plan, which relates exclusively to the development of legislation and policy.
