The report of the fact-finding commission investigating the circumstances of the 44-day war contains quite notable details and scandalous information that would allow the public to take a broader look at issues such as the “$48 million worth of scrap metal” mentioned by Nikol Pashinyan, among other matters. However, due to the classified nature of the material, it cannot be made public. This was stated by Gegham Manukyan, a lawmaker from the “Armenia” faction, at a session of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Defense and Security, who called on his colleagues to obtain clearance to access this information and review the document themselves in the near future.

“The dialogue with colleagues is actually quite interesting, especially given the presence in the hall of our commission’s expert, Colonel Avetisyan, the former commander of the Armed Forces, who has a lot to say on this matter, but unfortunately we cannot do so at an open session. I also urge my colleagues to obtain clearance to access this confidential information in the near future and review the report of the commission investigating the 44-day war, which was never implemented. It contains quite interesting and scandalous information that is confidential. Unfortunately, I do not have the right to make it public in order to open our society’s eyes more widely,” he said.
