David Ghazinyan, member of the National Assembly from the Strong Armenia faction, recalled at a session of the National Assembly statements made by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan several years ago: “I remember, on June 8, 2016, if I’m not mistaken, your leader, sitting right there, said that the absence of a head of state indicates the nature of the relationship between the majority and the government, and directly described it as vassal-like.”

Turning to matters related to the drafts and the text of the oath, the lawmaker stressed that the authorities’ policy raises questions about the future and their approach toward future generations.

“As my colleague noted before me, this means that for 8 years we did not think about the future of generations, or for 8 years we were guided by national goals, and now we’ve decided not to be guided by them anymore. Wouldn’t it have been better to be sincere and not deceive voters,” he stressed.
