Wherever we go, you’ll go too, whether you want to or not: Arpi Davoyan to the opposition

Arpi Davoyan, member of the National Assembly from the Civil Contract faction, criticized the opposition at a session of the National Assembly. According to her, opposition forces are echoing the narratives of external structures and forgetting their own role in the governance of Armenia.

“Every time you come and accuse us of failing to fulfill, so to speak, our treaty obligations to the CSTO, you are agreeing with all of the CSTO’s claims,” the lawmaker said.

Davoyan also questioned the logic of the opposition, which constantly warns the authorities against steps to leave the bloc.

“When you keep talking about the CSTO, asking, ‘And if you leave the CSTO, where will you go, what will you do?’, well, you too are one of the links in the governance of the Republic of Armenia. Maybe you want to go somewhere else? But I don’t think that will happen at this point, because wherever we go, you’ll go too, whether you want to or not,” she concluded.
