Mirzoyan and Bayramov meet in New York

Ararat Mirzoyan, Foreign Minister of Armenia, met with Jeyhun Bayramov, Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, in New York on September 24 on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

The two officials stressed the importance of peace between Yerevan and Baku, touching on the “progress” recorded since the agreements reached at the 2025 Washington peace summit.

“Particular attention was paid to unblocking economic and transport infrastructure between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

In this context, trade and transit cooperation between Armenia and Azerbaijan was noted as a practical example of the benefits of peace. The ministers exchanged views on opportunities to advance a positive agenda across various multilateral platforms. They agreed to continue their direct dialogue,” the statement said.
