Armenia may lose its quota for the 2026 Sodi World Series: Rodion Krylov

The Play City racetrack has been closed for more than a month, forcing the cancellation of a number of competitions because athletes have been unable to train. This was stated at a press conference by Rodion Krylov, member of the Automobile Federation of Armenia and co-founder and coach of “SH Racing.”

According to Krylov, they also had to cancel several “Sodi World Series” events. He noted that they obtained Sodi World Series accreditation in 2024 and have been actively hosting international competitions at their venue since last year.

“Two days ago, we received an official letter from them warning that if we fail to meet this year’s minimum requirements, we will lose our quota for the 2026 “Sodi World Series” Grand Final. The main contender for this quota is Ara Yeganyan. We also have a young athlete who won’t be able to secure a place either. If the competitions scheduled for October 11 don’t take place and we again have to cancel events, Armenia will simply lose the chance to send our athletes to the world championship, which will be held next year in France,” he stressed.
