Armenia and Iran discuss bridge and freight transport: Mirzoyan presents TRIPP project and its opportunities

In Tehran, the foreign ministers of Armenia and Iran discussed the construction of a second bridge on the border and measures to simplify freight transport.

Before the talks began, Ararat Mirzoyan, Armenia’s Foreign Minister, expressed condolences to his Iranian counterpart over the death of his sister.

The sides also touched on the issue of completing the construction of the power transmission line as soon as possible, the Armenian ministry noted.

The ministers exchanged views on the benefits of unblocking communications and on regional connectivity programs. Mirzoyan presented the work being done to implement the TRIPP project, stressing the new opportunities it opens for the countries of the region.
