Armenian artist to present his work “Vagr” at Burning Man Festival

Michael Tsaturyan is an artist and designer who raises important issues through his art. Known under the name Misha Libertee, Michael likes to use bright colors in his works. Tsaturyan became popular thanks to his work “Slonik”, which he presented at Burning Man 2019. A 23-meter elephant figure in bright green color drew attention to the problem of cruelty and extermination of elephants in Africa and Asia.

Michael himself explains his love for this style by his fascination with various cultural phenomena and an attempt to find something in common in them. The artist has lived and created in many countries, so he knows firsthand the peculiarities of many cultures.

This year Tsaturyan will present the work “Vagr”. This is a huge tiger figure designed to draw attention to the problem of tiger extinction. Michael’s work will be presented as the official Armenian art at Burning Man 2023.
