During a protest outside the UN office building in Yerevan, activists urged the countries taking part in the COP17 conference to pay attention to the issue of protecting the rights of Artsakh Armenians.

Participants in the initiative called “No biodiversity protection without human rights” handed letters to the ambassadors of three European countries, France, Italy and the United Kingdom, demanding that they speak out on the rights of Artsakh Armenians.

According to Nare Aramyan, human rights defender, all the letters have the same content, since their purpose is to present to the world community the right of indigenous people to live in their natural habitat.
