Jeanne Barseghyan, the Mayor of Strasbourg, is currently in Armenia with a French delegation of about 20 officials, led by the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo.
The French delegation escorted a humanitarian convoy for Artsakh to the Lachin Corridor on Wednesday.

According to Barseghian, Azerbaijan’s complete blockade of the Lachin corridor, the only road connecting Artsakh with Armenia, has been putting the lives of 120,000 civilians at risk for almost 9 months.

She called for “respect for the human rights of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh.”

“The access to food, energy and the movement of persons from Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia must be urgently restored. This is an emergency, we need to act, the life of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh is at stake.”

The delegation arrived in the region, responding to the call of the Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations of France (CCAF).

The convoy of tank trucks was founded by the Armenian community of France.
