According to the head of the Justice faction of the NA of Artsakh, David Galstyan, the head of the Free Motherland faction, Artur Harutyunyan, who withdrew from his mandate, may soon be appointed to the post of Minister of State.

“In a week, his powers will be terminated if he does not withdraw his application during this period,” David Galstyan said in an interview with Alpha News.

After being elected to the post of President of Artsakh on September 9, Samvel Shahramanyan has not yet made any appointments.

According to David Galstyan, it is necessary to immediately form a new government and resolve the situation.

“The crisis, worsening hour by hour, must be resolved. There are expectations from the new president, but this is not a one-man job. Under the blockade, we have exhausted a lot of resources. With today’s resources, we must now correctly navigate and increase our resistance to be able to get out of this situation with minimal losses,” the MP said.

Referring to the criticism around Russia sending aid through Akna, he said:

“After his election, Samvel Shahramanyan held discussions with political forces, and the government decided to allow the entry of Russian cargo through Askeran. Parliamentary forces were present at this meeting, and Samvel Shahramanyan said that he expected this decision to be understood. During the previous authorities there was no such approach.

The previous authorities did not meet with the public and did not discuss with them anything before making decisions. At a meeting on September 9, Mr. Shahramanyan stated that the Artsakh authorities made a decision and would bear responsibility, unlike the previous authorities, who never made a decision and used to say: ‘We came to listen to you.’
This is progress.

It is clear which way the wind blows when a president elected just a few days ago is criticized. Everyone speaks emotionally, but it doesn’t seem to me that today’s authorities will make decisions that are detrimental to the statehood of Artsakh. I am sure that these decisions will be based on the interests of Artsakh and the Artsakh people,” Galstyan concluded.
