Armenia selects Amerikatsi as a candidate for 2024 Academy Awards

Armenia has selected Amerikatsi as its Oscar submission for the Best International Feature Film category for 2024 Academy Awards, Armenian Film Society reports on its Facebook page.

The screenwriter and director of the film is Michael Goorjian.
Amerikatsi is currently screening in theaters in Los Angeles and New York. The film is produced by People of Ar Productions.

“Nothing could make me more proud than to represent Armenian Cinema this year and to help shine a light on the massive talent within our small nation,” Michael Goorjian said.

The Academy Awards will be held on March 10, with nominations being announced on January 23, 2024.
