Mandatory recount of votes to be held today in all electoral districts

The draws for the mandatory recount of votes will be held in all 10 electoral districts of Yerevan at 11:00, September 19, the Central Electoral Commission reports.

“We remind you that the CEC meetings are broadcast on the commission’s website. At the same meeting, the district election commissions will consider applications for a recount of votes.

According to part 1.1 of Article 50 of the Electoral Code, a mandatory recount of votes will be held in at least three polling stations in all districts.

According to Article 50 of the Electoral Code, the recount will begin on September 19 at 2:00 p.m. and will end on September 22 at 2:00 p.m.,” the CEC notes.

The recount may be attended by one trusted representative and one candidate from each party, as well as representatives of the monitoring mission and the media.

The recount will also be broadcast live on the website of the Central Election Commission, the report says.
