Armine Anda’s ‘The Song of Flying Leaves’ receives 4 awards

The Song of Flying Leaves, an animated short film by Armine Anda received 4 awards in September festivals: Golden Flame Best Animation and Producers awards in Lantern & Light International Children’s Film Festival (Australia), and Special Mention awards in CORTO LEVERE (Italy) and SHORT MEXICO (Mexico), the National Cinema Center of Armenia reported.

The Song of Flying Leaves is the first Armenian-Iranian animated film, a co-production of Armenian “Hoshkee Film” and Iranian “Hoorakhsh Studios”. The script is written by famous Ukrainian-Armenian filmmaker Roman Balayan.

The film tells about an encounter between Suna, a twelve-year-old girl who uses leaves as a blanket, and an old man who possesses secret knowledge. A reflection on friendship between a father and a daughter, a teacher and a student, an adult and a child, and the path that can turn the impossible into possible.
