Premiere of Aram Khachaturian’s ballet ‘Spartacus’ at Hungarian State Opera

On October 14, the premiere of Aram Khachaturian’s ballet ‘Spartacus’, dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the world-renowned composer, took place at the Hungarian State Opera House in Budapest, the Embassy of Armenia in Hungary reported.

“One of the pearls of ballet—Spartacus—was presented in a revised production many years ago by the world-famous Hungarian choreographer László Seregi. The ballet has toured various stages of the world for decades, receiving high praise and admiration from ballet lovers. This year, on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the great composer, it returned to large-scale performances in its homeland,” the Embassy said in a statement.

The ballet will perform from October 15 to 22 at the Hungarian State Opera.
