During the trial in Baku, the prosecutor demanded to sentence Artsakh resident Vagif Khachatryan, who was abducted in the Lachin corridor, to 15 years of imprisonment.

He noted that Khachatryan should serve five years of his sentence in prison and part of it in a high-security correctional facility.

On October 13, the sham trial of Vagif Khachatryan started in Baku.

According to the fabricated case, a total of 59 people are considered “victims”.
Vagif Khachatryan was a participant in the first Artsakh war; for that reason, the Azerbaijani authorities accuse him of serious crimes.

To remind, Khachatryan was abducted while crossing the Lachin corridor—and accompanied by the ICRC. He was being transported to Armenia for heart surgery.
