Russian MFA responds to Grigoryan’s refusal to attend CIS meeting

The secretary of the Armenian Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, declined to attend the meeting with his counterparts in Moscow due to a busy schedule; however, later it turned out that he had a meeting with an American official, the spokesperson of the Russian MFA, Maria Zakharova, told news.ru.

“At first, Grigoryan was supposed to attend the meeting, but then he said that he would not be flying to Moscow due to a busy schedule. Then, it turned out that he met with the US State Department Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations. Draw your own conclusions,” she said.

Zakharova also noted that at the recent meeting, Armenia was represented by the Armenian Ambassador to Russia, and “Armenia itself defines the level”.
