Royal Castle Museum of Poland to host Armenian carpet weaving classes

The official opening ceremony of the Armenian carpet weaving master classes took place in the carpet hall of the Royal Castle of Warsaw, Poland, reported the Armenian Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.

The project is implemented with the financial assistance of the Ministry and at the initiative of the Hovhannes Sharambeyan Museum of Folk Art, in cooperation with the Polish-Armenian Fund, the Royal Castle Museum of Warsaw, and the Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, under the auspices of the Armenian Embassy in Poland.

As part of the project, the masters of Yerevan’s Hovhannes Sharambeyan Museum of Folk Art will conduct carpet weaving classes for participants of different ages.

Agnieszka Jedrzejewska-Kurek, the coordinator of the Royal Castle Museum, presented the collection of exclusive carpets of the Teresa Sahakian Foundation, its history, and underscored the importance of promoting this educational program in Poland.
